My cat acts bad and know when she acts bad because she runs to hide before I can grab and discipline her. Unfortunately any kind of attention is positive to her so the only thing that you can do is put her on a time out/solitary confinement. Usually it’s my bedroom but I tried the bathroom this weekend and after 10 minutes she had dug out all the tampons from under the sink, unrolled the toilet paper and opened the medicine cabinet and found a bevy of Q-Tips, her favorite toy. She was on her 6th by the time I caught her. She’s lucky she’s so damn cute.

Worse Than Racist Dolphins

Dolphins regularly beat the living hell out of/torture to death non-threatening porpoises and sometimes even their own kin..for no clear reason. As they’ve become more used to human interaction, these killings are being seen for the first time. Before now we only just discovered the corpses (which are increasing in number).

Watching the films, Aberdeen marina biologist Dr Ben Wilson explains yet another shocking phenomenon - that the dolphins use their incredible ultra sound abilities to home in on the vital organs of their victims that will cause most damage[…] And the attacks are sustained, sometimes up to 30 minutes.

The commonality in the attacks is that all the victims are small in size, which means killer dolphins are picking fights with babies and not animals that could possibly fight back. Fuck dolphins.

Baby’s First Snow

Bea’s about a year old now and has probably seen snow as a tiny tiny but now she doesn’t have to live in it and I was curious how she’d react. So I let her out to see the snow and she immediately started playing in it and wouldn’t come in on her own. Now I’m thinking of getting kittens mittens for her that match her sweater and letting her out more often. When I cross the crazy cat lady line I’m relying on you all to bring me back.

It’s been passed down through several cats before her for over a decade and Beatrice Purrthur is the first to like it. My mother is currently planning a custom fitted one, probably cable knit. Luckiest cat in the world. Also, cutest.

This weekend Bea and my sister’s cat hung out on my mom’s porch. To my delight and surprise she didn’t attempt to jump off. Beatrice is now 8 months old, with me for 3 months, and seems to grow an inch in all directions each day. I no longer freak out about leaving her alone overnight..she can basically make a toy out of anything. She likes sleeping anywhere and everywhere though she does like my leather bag, baskets and anywhere in view of the outside. She still drags clothes around the place but less frequently. She picks up tennis balls with both paws and throws them up in the air. She’s still an almost 24/7 purring machine..occasionally I check this by looking at her because even that sets her off. She likes kisses on her hairy face and will be held for the shortest amount of time before she realizes how jam-packed her kitten schedule is. She eats a shitton and sometimes shows a big belly but it always shrinks because she’s got a secret stash of kitten coke somewhere I don’t know about that fuels her late night workout frenzies. We like each other a lot.
