Maddow’s interview with Richard Cohen, author of ‘Coming Out Straight’. It’s long and bizarre..essentially she points out the ludicrous claims in his books and he repeats a line about love, distancing himself from Uganda and even a couple things he himself stated in his writings. In the end, again, the Ugandan legislator and his supporters decided long ago how to treat gays and have an unlimited supply of general anti-gay support to pull from. One of them just happened to be this guy who now has a shitton more positive and negative publicity. Govt killing of people because of a personal identity is an issue that deserves attention..I appreciate Maddow for taking to task one of the many ‘gay cure’ people but I kind of feel like this interview could’ve been replaced with something much more substantial.
